New Delhi, Metro Rail News: The Maharashtra government is in an effort to reduce the distance between Mumbai to Pune, from 3 hours to 25 minutes. For this, the government is working on the Hyperloop project. After the Hyperloop project, the distance between the two metros will be decided in just 17 to 25 minutes. The government of Maharashtra has given it the status of Public Infrastructure Project. Private players will be able to participate in setting up this ambitious project.

The estimated cost would be Rs 20,000 crore

Not only this, the completion of the pre-feasibility of the Pune-Mumbai Hyperloop project has been sent to the report for the review of IIT Mumbai. To complete this important project, there has been a partnership between the Government of Maharashtra and the Warren Hyperloop. According to the information, this HyperLoop demo will be on 15-kilometer long route in 2019 from Balewadi, Pune. This route is quite parallel to the Mumbai-Pune Expressway. Speaking about the cost of this project, the American company will spend 300 crores in its initial phase. After the success of the test, full electric hyperopes will be built within four years or by 2024 and its estimated cost will be Rs. 20,000 crores.

Recently, Maharashtra’s CM Devendra Fadnavis visited a test site in Las Vegas, Virginia Hyperloop Forest. Fadnavis said this trip after the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for the creation of the Mumbai-Pune Hyperloop between the Virgin Group headed by the State Government and Richard Branson. He was accompanied by Rob Lloyd, the company’s chief executive. He studied the demonstration track and discussed it for speeding up the deployment of this technology in Maharashtra.

What is virgin hyperloop forest

Virgin HyperLop Van is a Los Angeles-based company, which is basically based on the idea of Tesla founder Elon Musk. The goal of the company is to transform public transport by making “hyperloop” or pods, which transmits people from one place to another at high speed through tunnels. The company has appointed Jai Waldar as its new CEO. Its first project in India will be a hyperloop between the most populous city and Pune. Both cities are in the state of Maharashtra, the distance between them is about 150 km.

Train 18 Standing at Moradabad Station for Trail

New Delhi, Metro Rail News: Today, the first trial run of the country’s engine-less train will be conducted today on the Bareilly-Moradabad section. Developed by the Integral Coach Factory, “Train 18” is seen as a successor to the Shatabdi Express and was unveiled last month by Ashwani Lohani, the chairman of Railway Board.

This train has been specially designed on the model of bullet train. The train is fully air-conditioned train and is driven by a self-propulsion module, that can run at a speed of up to 160 kmph and comes with technical features for enhanced quick acceleration.

The Research Designs and Standards Organisation’s team has reached Moradabad for the trial run. This Rs. 100 crore train is the first long-distance train without a separate locomotive or engine.T-18 train are completely Indian and they will be fully computerized.

On Friday, the railways sought to downplay reports that the train had developed glitches, saying they were minor and such issues were routine during the trial phase of any train. A railway official said, “Some fuses went off while conducting the low-speed run in the city (Chennai). They were fixed immediately. There was nothing to worry about,” as quoted by PTI.

It took 18 months to build the 16-coach train. The train left for Delhi on November 11 and reached the national capital two days later. The official said, “After the test-run, Train 18 was hauled by a locomotive to take it to Delhi as it should not run on its own until the Commission of Railway Safety certifies it.”

“It is a matter of pride that India has made such a train for the first time and that too ICF has done it within 18 months,” Mr Lohani had told reporters when the train was unveiled last month.

“Within 2018-19 production year another unit of the train would be manufactured and four more units would be manufactured by end of 2019-20 production year,” Mr Lohani said.

Due to its being built in 2018, it has been named T-18. This will be the first train set of the Indian Railways, which will be similar to the metro, i.e. the engine will not be separated, but it will be run only in the first and final coach of the train. Because of its stainless steel coaches, not only will it be lightweight but they will be able to run at a fast pace.

Earlier it was a discussion to run between Delhi-Bhopal, but now it has been connected to Moradabad instead of Bhopal. It has been built on the lines of the century. This 16-coach train set is based on world-class standards and is fully developed on Indian technology and design. The first modern train will be introduced in the new year.

Several features have been added in this train set, including WiFi, LED light, Passenger information system etc. The Government first announced in the Rail Budget 2014 for running semi-high speed trains on nine routes of the country. These included Delhi-Agra, Delhi-Chandigarh, Delhi-Kanpur, Nagpur-Bilaspur, Mysore-Bangalore-Chennai, Mumbai-Goa, Mumbai-Ahmedabad, Chennai-Hyderabad and Nagpur-Secunderabad routes.

That being said, that remains substantially 100 crore train developed in India, energy saving These will change the style of a train in the train coming. Sources said that this carriage is a milestone in the history of Indian Railways.

Delhi Metro, Metro Rail News: Solar energy would add power to all stations of Noida-Greater Noida Metro Rail corridor’s Aqua Line that would be operational soon, the Noida Metro Rail Corporation (NMRC) said in a statement on November 12, as reported by PTI.

The NMRC entered into an agreement with a private firm on Monday for the solar energy project of the Aqua Line which would run between Sector 71 station in Noida and the Depot Station in Greater Noida, covering 29.7 km through 21 stations, it said.

Solar Panels installed on 21 stations of the Noida-Greater Noida Metro rail corridor:

Solar panels will be installed on the roofs of all the 21 stations of the Noida-Greater Noida Metro rail corridor. These panels will also be installed in the parking areas and boundary walls of the metro stations. A total of 10 MW power would be generated by the solar panels which would be used at the metro stations, the depot and in the parking areas, it said.

Rs 3.25 per unit for the power:

The NMRC would be charged at Rs 3.25 per unit for the power, which, it claimed, is the “lowest tariff” for any metro rail service using solar power.

The private partner, Sukhbir Agro Energy Limited, was selected after a tender was floated for the purpose by the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation, which is assisting the NMRC on the Aqua Line.

“A power purchase agreement was signed between the NMRC and Messrs Sukhbir Agro Energy Limited. Manoj Vajpayee, the general manager (technical), signed the agreement for NMRC while Sumit Sood signed the contract for the Delhi-based firm,” according to the statement.

NMRC Executive Chairman P D Upadhyay said

The infrastructure work on the Aqua Line, whose construction started in May, 2015, has been completed and is currently under inspection by the commissioner of Metro Rail Safety (CMRS).

Hyderabad Metro | Unofficial Hyderabad Metro Rail Apps Misguide Public

Hyderabad Metro

Hyderabad (Metro Rail News): There are more than 20 apps have appeared on Google Play Store that is related to the Hyderabad Metro Rail. These apps primarily claim to give the timings and map information and mimic the functionality of legitimate apps to trick unsuspecting users into installing them.

Hyderabad Metro T-Savari Apps
A screenshot shows some of the Metro apps available on playstore. T-savaari is the only authentic app provided by L&THMRL.

They are often filled with advertisements which allow them to earn revenue, whenever a user unknowingly downloads them. The official app of the Hyderabad Metro goes by the name of ‘T-Savaari’ which was launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Due to lack of awareness of this app, some users have installed different apps which are giving them wrong information about train timings and other facilities.

“I installed the Hyderabad Metro Rail app, which said the first train was at 6 am and I saw a flyer which said it starts at 6.30 am. I had to quickly pick an alternative mode of transport to reach my destination” Said A commuter from KPHB, Mr B. Abhishek

Some users, who are unaware of the original app, have reached out through social media to L&T as well. A user who goes by the name Sarah Li also pointed out a similar issue through social media. These apps were created immediately after the Metro Rail was inaugurated but were not updated since.

A team of officials from L&T are dedicated to work on the app. This app is regularly updated and even shows timings of MMTS, RTC buses and other services like Ola and Metro bikes. HMRL managing director N.V.S Reddy, confirmed that there is only one app operational for the city metro which is the ‘T-Savaari’ app.

Since T-Savaari allows passengers to register for buying or recharging the Metro Rail card which involves money, officials are requesting users to be aware of such apps. An official said, “Most of the apps are giving basic information on timings, corridor and ticket pricing.”
