BMRCL’s Brief Scope: Construction of Veerannapalya Elevated Metro Station (Balance works) including allied works for Bengaluru Metro Rail Project Phase-2B-P1.

About the Veerannapalya Station’s Contract

Initial Contract: In November 2021, NCC Ltd. in was awarded the Veerannapalya Station’s construction Contract as a part of Package P1 of Bangalore Metro Phase 2B’ spanning 11.003 km from KR Puram to Hebbal through 8 elevated stations.

Stations: Kasturi Nagar, Horamavu, HRBR Layout, Kalyan Nagar, HBR Layout, Nagawara, Veerannapalya and Kempapura.

However, the construction of Veerannapalya Station was later removed from NCC’s scope due to prolonged delays caused by the relocation of an underground gas pipeline owned by Gas Authority of India Limited (GAIL).

After reallocating the gas pipeline, BMRCL floated the tender for the remaining construction of Veerannapalya Station.

This was a limited one-stage tender, meaning that BMRCL only invited financial bids from pre-qualified firms without requiring a separate technical evaluation.
