MUMBAI (Metro Rail News): Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has announced Efkon India Private Limited as the lowest bidder for the telecommunication system contract of Mumbai Metro Line 9 & 7A.
DMRC invited bids for this contract with a 900 days deadline. Technical bids were opened on 18 Dec 2025 revealing that 3 firms have submitted bids for the contract. On 19 Jan 2026 technical evaluation of the submitted bids occurred and one firm bid was rejected during that round. On the same day financial bids were opened and after the financial evaluation round Efkon India was declared as the lowest bidder for the contract.

Contract’s Scope of Work: “Design, Manufacture, Supply, Installation, Testing and Commissioning of Telecommunication System (Except Tetra System) of Line 9 (From Dahisar East To RAI) and 7A (Andheri East to CSMIA) Corridor of Mumbai Metro Including Dongri Depot”.
The Line 7A and Line 9 of Mumbai Metro are both extensions of Line 7 (Red Line ). The Line 7A spans 3.17 km between Andheri and CSIA Terminal through 2 stations while the Line 9 spans 11.38 km between Dahisar East and Mira Bhayandar through 7 stations.
