PUNE (Metro Rail News): The Progress of the Pune Metro Line 3 is rapidly increasing on various Hinjewadi sections to the Shivanagag route. The construction of the Pier erection, girder installation and Viaduct is completed on a large scale. Therefore, the metro developers and traffic planning authorities have gradually taken down the barricades. The Balewadi-Baner roads are now once more exhaling in relief as a result.
Barricades were first built on both sides of the road once this route was built, resulting in narrow roads. As a result, residents who Commute through these roadways deal with issues like traffic jams. These barricades are necessary to protect employees and commuters from harm and prevent the metro’s extensive development from obstructing traffic.
Since the beginning of work on the 23.3 km stretch from Hinjewadi to Shivajinagar, 20,061 running metres of barricading have been completed out of 23862 RMT barricading.
Three sections of the Hinjewadi Metro are now under construction: Section One from Man to Balewadi; Section Two from Balewadi to Vidyapeeth Chowk; and Section Three between Pune University Circle to Shivajinagar civil court.
However, sections one and two of the metro construction have been almost completed.
Wherever the piers have been built, barriers are being taken down, and the girders are on top. For example, Balewadi Stadium to Ram Nadi area and Baner Phata to Abhimanashree region barriers have started to be brought down to make daily commuters’ lives easier by accelerating regular road traffic and reducing travel delays as much as possible.
In addition, it has been looked into the method to reduce the width of the barricades where work is being done to make the road more accessible for traffic. As a result, the barricades’ breadth has been decreased by a few metres at the NICMAR and the Cosmos Bank intersection on Ganeshkhind Road. As soon as the pier and girder construction is finished, these barricades will be removed.
Prosy barricades maintained Puneri characteristics. “Otherwise, the barricades are a cement and steel block. But every barrier along the Hinjewadi-Shivajinagar Metro has undergone special maintenance.
Even if the commuters suffer the sun’s heat while waiting at the traffic light, they are spotted smiling thanks to the humorous “Puneri Paati” painted on these barricades. Furthermore, visible and laudable images and messages highlight Pune’s rich cultural and educational heritage and the development brought about by the IT Parks.
The barricades of Pune Metro Line 3 will feature the following four essential topics (themes): education, agriculture, information technology, and culture. According to Neha Pandit, the business head and director of Pune IT City Metro Rail Limited, “From these concepts, the photos that tell the qualities of Pune and the intriguing messages that reveal the unique “Puneriness” have been revealed.
