Mumbai (Metro Rail News): Mumbai Metro advanced with another major contract as IRCON International – Jakson Ltd. JV has been declared as the lowest Bidder by the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) for major systems under Package CA-236 of Line 4 & Line 4A spanning 35.2 km connecting Wadala- Kasarvadavali – Gaimukh.
In February 2024, MMRDA invited bids for this contract with a Rs. 1212 crore estimate. Furthermore, In November 2024, Technical bids were opened to reveal 2 bidders.

MMRDA’s Brief Scope for Package-2 (CA-236): Design, Manufacture, Supply, Installation, Integration, Testing and Commissioning of Power supply and Traction, Electrical & Mechanical and Lifts & Escalators including 15 years of Comprehensive Maintenance after 2 years of Defect Liability Maintenance Period for Mumbai Metro Line 4 and Extension Corridor (4A) [WADALA-KASARVADAVALI-GAIMUKH] of Mumbai Metro Rail Project of MMRDA.
