Bullet TrainRRTS NEWS HIGHLIGHTS7th OWG Bridge Launched for Mumbai%u2013Ahmedabad Bullet Train ProjectMumbai-Ahmedabad Bullet Train Project (MAHSR) advanced with the launching of the 7th Open Web Girder (OWG) bridge, which spans 70 meters over two Dedicated Freight Corridor (DFC) tracks located near Vadodara, Gujarat. This bridge represents the 7th of the 28 steel bridges planned for the Mumbai-Ahmedabad Bullet Train corridor. The launching operation was executed efficiently within a 12-hour window, utilising intermittent blocks on the DFC tracks. The steel bridge has a total weight of 674 metric tons and dimensions of 13 meters in height and 14 meters in width. Delhi-Meerut RRTS: Track Laying Work Completed at Modipuram StationThe Delhi %u2013 Ghaziabad %u2013 Meerut Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS) advanced with the completion of track laying work at Modipuram, which represents the final Namo Bharat station on the route towards Meerut. The Modipuram RRTS Station is strategically positioned along National Highway-58 and functions as a critical terminal for both Namo Bharat RRTS and Meerut Metro services. The station features three platforms, with two designated for semi-high-speed Namo Bharat trains and one allocated for Meerut Metro operations. Indian RailwayHBL-Shivakriti Consortium Receives LoA for two KAVACH System ContractsHBL-Shivakriti Consortium has received LoA for two major KAVACH contracts worth approx Rs.500 Crore (Combined Value) from the Western Railways and North Central Railways. Under the contract from Western Railways, the HBL-Shivakriti Consortium is responsible for implementation of KAVACH System in the Viramgam%u2013Rajkot%u2013Okha section of the Rajkot Division. Similarly, for the contract awarded by the North Central Railways, the Consortium will be responsible for deploying the KAVACH System in the Dholpur%u2013Bina section of the Jhansi Division. Delhi %u2013 Meerut RRTS: NCRTC Initiates Trial Run Between New Ashok Nagar- Sarai Kale KhanThe National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) has initiated trial runs on a 5 km stretch between New Ashok Nagar and Sarai Kale Khan RRTS Station. This advancement marks the introduction of semi-high-speed trains developed by Alstom, designated as Namo Bharat, to the southern terminal at Sarai Kale Khan. The NCRTC team executed a trial operation employing the Namo Bharat Train, which commenced its journey from New Ashok Nagar along the down-line tracks at a controlled speed of 10 km/h.
