Allocates Rs 12,000 Cr for Jaipur Metro%u2019s Line 2The Government of Rajasthan has allocated a budget of `12,000 crore for the development of Jaipur Metro Line 2, which will link the Sitapuri, Ambabari, and Vidhyadhar Nagar regions. According to Finance Minister Diya Kumari, the project will be implemented by the newly established Rajasthan Metro Railway Corporation (RMRC), a joint venture between the Central Government and the State Government. With this development , RMRC has commenced the preparation of a revised Detailed Project Report (DPR) for the Sitapuri to Ambabari segment of Jaipur Metro Line 2. Additionally, the Jaipur Metro Rail Corporation (JMRC) is in the process of formulating another DPR for the Ambabari to Vidhyadhar Nagar stretch.DMRC & JICA Inks %u20b9 4309.53 crore Loan for Delhi Metro Phase 4The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has achieved the financial closure for three remaining corridors of Delhi Metro Phase 4, specifically the Inderlok %u2013 Indraprastha, Saket G Block %u2013 Lajpat Nagar, and Rithala %u2013 Narela %u2013 Nathurpur corridors. This milestone was achieved through the formal execution of the initial tranche of the loan agreement between the Government of India and the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA). The agreement entails a loan amounting to ` 4,309.53 crores, which is approximately equivalent to 79,726 million Japanese Yen.L&T Achieves Breakthrough in India%u2019s Longest Rail Tunnel on Rishikesh-Karnaprayag Rail LineRishikesh-Karnaprayag Broad Gauge Rail Link Project progreessed with the longest tunnel breakthrough spanning 14.57 km achieved by TBM Shakti at Tunnel No. 8 for Package 4 . The Tunnel No. 8 stretches from Devprayag to Janasu in Uttarakhand. TBM Shakti is the largest TBM to be deployed in the Himalayan region. The TBM Shakti was excavating at an average rate of 413 meters per month to complete the 10.4 km of the tunnel. In Package 4, L&T is constructing India%u2019s longest railway tunnel (14.5 km upline, 13.1 km downline). Delhi Metro to Feature India%u2019s 1st 3-Coach Metro LineThe Lajpat Nagar %u2013 Saket G Block Metro Line, a segment of the Golden Line, will be the first metro corridor in India specifically designed to operate with three-coach trains. This 8-kilometer corridor is part of Delhi Metro Phase 4 and will be the second shortest metro line within the Delhi Metro network. Unlike conventional metro systems that typically employ configurations of four, six, or eight coaches, this line has been intentionally developed to facilitate shortdistance urban transportation.NEWS HIGHLIGHTSIndian Railway
