BANGALORE (Metro Rail News): Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) has invited bids for preparing the Detailed Project Report (DPR) for the proposed Madavara (BIEC)-Tumakuru metro route. This corridor is planned as an extension of the existing Green Line.

Contract Duration: 5 Months

Contract Scope of Work: Preparation of Detailed Project Report (DPR) for extension of Metro Rail Corridor from Madavara (BIEC) to Tumakuru for a length of 59.60 Km via Nelamangala, Dabaspete, Kyathasandra of the Bangalore Metro Rail Project’.

Last year, Aarvee Associates Architects Engineers & Consultants Pvt. Ltd. was awarded a contract worth ₹1.25 crore to prepare a Feasibility Study Report for extending the Bangalore Metro from Madavara (BIEC) to Tumkur (Tumakuru). The study was meant to assess the technical and financial viability of developing this corridor as a future extension of the Green Line.

Currently, the Green Line spans from Madavara to Silk Route covering a distance of 33.46km through 31 stations.
