CHENNAI (Metro Rail News): Chennai Metro Rail Corporation (CMRL) has announced TDC Contracting Private Limited as the lowest bidder for electrical, fire safety, HVAC and BMS works for nine elevated stations on Corridor 3 of the Chennai Metro Phase 2
CMRL invited bids for this contract with a 1490 days deadline. Technical bids were opened on 24 Jul 2025 announcing that 4 firms have submitted bids for the contract and the technical evaluation of the submitted bids took place on 19 Dec 2025. The financial bids were opened on 22 Dec 2025. After the financial evaluation round TDC Contracting Private Limited was declared as the lowest bidder for the contract.

Contracts Scope of Work: Supply, installation , testing, commissioning and training of electrical, fire alarm and detection, fire , fighting, vac and BMS works for 9 elevated stations from Sholinganallur lake to Sipcot 2 stations including stabling lines, viaduct between the stations ( CH: 35044.000 to 44761.000)” for Corridor 3 of Chennai Metro Rail Project Phase 2.
The 118.9 km Phase 2 of Chennai Metro consists of three new metro corridors.
