DELHI (Metro Rail News): PM Modi will be inaugurating 9 new Vande Bharat trains virtually this Sunday, September 24th. The 9 routes are:
- Indore-Jaipur
- Jaipur-Udaipur
- Puri-Rourkela
- Patna-Howrah
- Jaipur-Chandigarh
- Chennai-Tirunelveli
- Ranchi-Howrah
- Jamnagar-Ahmedabad
- Chennai-Hyderabad
Additionally, the new fleet of Vande Bharat Express trains that is to be inaugurated is equipped with many new features that make them different or distinct from the already existing fleet of Vnade Bharat Express Trains. Extended footrests, Deeper wash basins, and improved lighting are a few of the new features.
While 8 of the Vande Bharat trains will be the same as the White-Blue Variant, One out of the lot will be the Saffron-White variant, probably the one along the Kasargod-Trivandrum route. Among the 9 trains being inaugurated, will be the 2nd Vande Bharat for Bihar which will run between Patna & Howrah, bringing down the travel time to 6 hours 30 minutes at a speed of 90 km/hr.
