KEC-Siemens consortium wins contract worth INR 204 Crores of electrification works for NER sections

On 22nd March, financial bids were opened in which Consortium of M/s KEC International Limited & M/s. Siemens Limited emerged as the lowest bidder for the contract and subsequently, awarded the contract for this work.

NEW DELHI (Metro Rail News): Consortium of KEC International Limited and Siemens Limited wins contract of electrification works for North Eastern Railway (NER) sections. On 9th April 2021, IRCON International Limited had issued a Letter of Acceptance (LOA) to a consortium of M/s. KEC International Limited & M/s. Siemens Limited for the supply and commissioning of Railway Electrification Work for various sections of NER on EPC mode.

Lalkua-Kashipur and Bhojipura-Lalkua sections of North Eastern Railway (NER) (Package No. 5) on Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) Mode.

Contract Value – INR 204 Crores

Period of Completion – 450 Days

Technical bids were opened for this tender on 19th February which revealed names of 12 bidders and it was revealed that 11 bidders qualified the technical round of evaluation and 1 bidder being disqualified.

On 22nd March, financial bids were opened in which Consortium of M/s KEC International Limited & M/s. Siemens Limited emerged as the lowest bidder for the contract and subsequently, awarded the contract for this work.
