The officials and staff of UPMRC were divided into different groups and reached the Metro stations at 10:00 AM to start this mission. Kumar Keshav, Managing Director, Uttar Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation started the drive at the surrounding premises of Badshah Nagar Metro Station and appealed the costermongers to support Lucknow Metro in this drive and asked them to keep a dustbin along their cart to avoid the garbage thrown by their customers on the street.

“We must inculcate this habit of cleanliness in our daily affairs to ensure and retain world-class cleanliness standards at our Metro premises and surroundings. In this pandemic situation, we need to give more attention to the cleanliness, which is next to godliness”, Mr Keshav said.
