MUMBAI (Metro Rail News): The Mumbai Metro Rail Project has achieved a major milestone with the successful erection of all precast elements and the launch of the last U-girder for the first phase of the Mumbai Metro Line 4.

Line 4 of Mumbai Metro is an under-construction line that spans 32.32 km from Wadala to Kasarvadavali, covering 30 stations. The first phase of Line 4 is a 6.9 km stretch between Majiwada and Kasarvadavali, which covers 6 stations.
Stations: Kapurbawdi, Manpada, Tikujiniwadi, Dongripada, Vijay Garden, Kasarvadavali

Recently, the first trial train coaches for Line 4 were successfully lifted and positioned on the tracks near Anand Nagar in Thane. As per the officials, the trials for Line 4 are expected to begin in September.
As the trials are set to commence in September, officials will conduct safety assessments, system integration evaluations, and signalling tests before granting final approval for passenger service. The government is aiming to have this section operational for commuters by December.
