RVNL Wins Electrification Contract from West Central Railway.

Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL) has emerged as the lowest bidder for a major railway electrification contract valued at ₹169.48 crore from West Central Railway.

Contract Value:  ₹169.48 Crore

Contract Duration: 540 days

Contract’s Scope of Work: The contract covers end-to-end work including design, modification, procurement, installation, testing, and commissioning of a 220/132kV/2×25 kV Scott‑connected traction substation, along with related switching posts and Auto Transformer (AT) infrastructure. It also incorporates SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) integration work for the Bina–Ruthiyai (RTA) section falling under the Bhopal Division of West Central Railway.

This project floated under Tender No. BPL-PROJECT-EPC-2025-01, is intended to strengthen the traction power system and support West Central Railway’s freight handling goal of 3,000 metric tonnes (MT). 

RVNL continues to play a key role in India’s railway infrastructure, with expertise in electrification, construction of new lines, track doubling, gauge conversion, metro systems, workshops, major bridges, construction of cable-stayed bridges, institution buildings, etc.
