BANGALORE (Metro Rail News): Rail Infrastructure Development Company Karnataka Limited ( K-RIDE) revealed Saarstahl Rail as the lowest bidder for the track supply contract of the Bangalore Suburban Railway Project.
The awarded contractor will be supplying 60E1 (UIC 60), 1080 HH Grade Rails as per IRS-T-12-2009 (Latest with all A&C slips), for Corridor 2’s section from Beingannahalli to Chikkabanavara and Corridor 4’s section between Heelalige and Rajankunte.
K-RIDE floated tender for this contract with a 365-day deadline. The technical bids were opened on 31 January 2025, revealing that 3 firms have submitted bids for the contract.

On 29 May 2025, a technical evaluation of the submitted bid took place. During the technical evaluation, Mitsui & Co., Ltd.’s bid was rejected. The financial bids were opened on 4 June 2025, revealing Saarstahl Rail as the lowest bidder for the contract.
