PUNE (Metro Rail News): The trail runs for the Pune metro stretch from Ruby Clinic to Ramwadi was conducted on Friday at 7.30 P.M. It entailed a round trip from Ruby Hall Clinic to Ramwadi, which took an hour to complete.
It aimed at testing all the elements involved in metro operations. The trial run encompassed the robustness of tracks, reliability of electrical systems, etc. It aimed at establishing the operational expertise of Pune metro and adherence to safety standards.
It is a significant development as it brings the city’s ambitious Aqua Line closer to operational reality. Once operational, it will bring the 15.7 Km Aqua Line into reality, easing people’s lives.
Pune metro is a rapid transit system for the city of Pune that has three lines running in the city with a combined length of 54.14 Km, of which two lines are operational as of now. The three lines are:
- Purple Line: PCMC Bhavan to Swargate
- Aqua Line: Vanaz to Ramwadi
- Line 3: Hinjawadi to Civil Court via Balewadi
