NEW DELHI (Metro Rail News): To facilitate the movement of goods & expert supply of necessary commodities, Indian Railways launched Roll-on Roll-off (Ro-Ro) operations a few yrs back.

This service in which the trucks with goods-filled are loaded on to railway vehicles & transported from different places. At the same time, one carriage can carry several trucks. A video of such train carrying different trucks was newly shared by Railway Minister Piyush Goyal on Twitter.

Ensuring a speedy & efficient supply of basic commodities, Railways has upscaled transportation via using Ro-Ro facilities to move loaded trucks, Railway Minister tweeted. He mentioned the Ro-Ro service worked in the Konkan belt to accomplish people’s requirements amid the lockdown.

The video has already piqued people’s interest that is clear from above 1.3 lakh views it has expanded till now. With more than 15,000 likes & around 3,200 retweets, people also left varied comments on the post.
