Passengers taken both doses of Covid-19 vaccine will only be allowed to travel by Nagpur metro

The viaduct work on Reach-2 of Nagpur Metro under Phase-1 from Sitabuldi to Automotive Square is progressing at rapid pace and so far 91% of the viaduct work is completed on this route.

NAGPUR (Metro Rail News): Nagpur Metro has informed that commuters who have taken both doses of Covid-19 vaccination will only be allowed to travel by Metro.

“It is for the information of the General Public that as per orders issued by Competent Authority, employees and officials associated with providing medical and essential services and only those who have been vaccinated with both the Covid protection doses and have taken the second dose 14 days back, are eligible for travel by metro,” as said by Nagpur Metro.

Nagpur Metro also stated that the eligible commuters would have to give proof of two doses of vaccination to the Maha Metro staff at the Metro Station.

These instructions have been implemented on both – Aqua and Orange Lines of Nagpur Metro and to come into effect from 15th August 2021.

The Orange Line at present connects Sitabuldi with Khapri for a total length of 13.5 km with 11 stations on the route while the Aqua Line at present connects Sitabuldi with Lokmanya Nagar for a total length of 11 km with 11 stations on the route.
