NEW DELHI (Metro Rail News): The Noida Metro Rail Corporation (NMRC) will push the centre to give its approval for the corridor that will penetrate Greater Noida West.
Ritu Maheshwari, managing director of NMRC, stated during a board meeting on Friday 7th August, “We are accelerating the process to receive the approval fast.”

Corporation sources stated that the approval from the central government will probably come within a week. Once that is done, NMRC will float a tender to select a developer for the project. Two phases will be used to construct the Greater Noida West corridor. Greater Noida Sectors 122, 123, Greater Noida Sector 4, Ecotech 12, and Greater Noida Sector 2 would make up the first phase’s five stations. The first phase will be 9.6 kilometres long. In the second phase, where the line will extend another 5.8 km, there will be four stations-Knowledge Park V , Greater Noida sectors 3,10 and 12. NMRC would construct the Greater Noida West corridor entirely on its own unlike the 29.7km long Aqua Line, which was created by DMRC.

The board also spoke about the construction of a foot overbridge to connect the Sector 52 metro station on the Blue Line with Aqua Line Sector 51 Metro Station.
