MAHARASHTRA, INDIA (Metro Rail News): The Mumbai Suburban rail, famously known as the city’s lifeline, will remain partially closed in December to complete the construction of the fifth and sixth railway lines. However, it will not hamper the entire rail route somewhat. Some stations between Thane and Diva will get affected for around 18-72 hours in the next month. The construction work for the fifth and sixth railway lines are pending between Thane and Diva.

The Central Railway Zone and the Mumbai Rail Vikas Corporation (MRVC) will be undertaking the blocks after getting permission from the Railway Board (the top executive body of Union Railways Ministry). Moreover, the concerned authorities have sought permission for the blocks. They conveyed that minimum inconvenience should be caused to passengers as they will run additional buses during the construction period.

Moreover, MRVC also got informed regarding the technical difficulties and ensured to minimize the passenger inconveniences
