BHOPAL (Metro Rail News): Larsen & Toubro was chosen as the low bidder to provide and construct standard gauge tracks for the underground, elevated, and Subhash Nagar Depot of Bhopal Metro Phase 1.
Madhya Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation Ltd. (MPMRCL) floats tender for this contract (Package BH-07) financed by the European Investment Bank (EIB) in February with an unspecified completion date of 1274 days (3.49 years).
In July, technical bids were opened, revealing 4 bidders. RVNL and VNC were rejected because their proposals did not adhere to the requirements of the tender.

The Work includes: Design Supply Installation Testing and Commissioning of Ballastless Track of Standard Gauge including Supply of Fastening System including Elevated and Underground sections along with Ballasted Ballastless Track in Depot for Bhopal Metro Rail Project.
It is the 4th and final track-related contract for Bhopal’s 27.87 km Phase 1 project. The previous 3 have been clubbed together with Indore Metro’s Phase 1.
