L&T Receives LoA for Package CA-168 of Mumbai Metro Line 4

MUMBAI (Metro Rail News): Larsen & Toubro (L&T) has received a Letter of Acceptance ( LoA) worth Rs 188.5 Cr for Package CA-168 of Mumbai Metro Line 4. Metro Line 4, from Wadala to Kasarvadavali, is a 32.32 km-long elevated corridor with 30 stations.

In 2024, Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) floated a tender for Package CA-168 with a 720-day deadline. Technical bids were opened on 3 October 2024, revealing that 3 firms have submitted bids for the contract. The technical evaluation of the submitted bids took place on October 4, 2024. 

The financial bids for the technically qualified bidders opened on 4 October 2024. The financial evaluation of the bids took place on 21 August 2025. However, during the financial evaluation round, 2 firms’ bids got rejected, announcing L&T as the lowest bidder for the contract. On 21 August, L&T received LoA from MMRDA for the contract. 

Financial Bid Values 

The awarded contractor will be responsible for the Design, Construction, Manufacturing, Supply, Installation, Testing and Commissioning of Ballastless Trackwork in the Mainline from Bhakti Park to Mulund Fire Station. The contract also includes the Siding Tracks at POB of Bhakti Park Station and Pocket Track between Sonapur and Mulund Fire Station of 4 Corridor 4. 

Brief Scope: Design, Construction, Manufacturing, Supply, Installation, Testing and Commissioning of Ballastless Trackwork in Mainline from Bhakti Park [Ch. -550.0m] to Mulund Fire Station (Excluding station)(Excluding station) [Ch. 18929.611 m] including Siding Tracks at POB of Bhakti Park Station and Pocket Track between Sonapur&Mulund Fire Station (Excluding station)of Metro Line – 4 Corridor [Wadala – Kasarvadavali] of Mumbai Metro Rail Project of MMRDA, Mumbai.
