L&T Technology Receives LoA for AFC Contract of Mumbai Metro Line 9 & 7A

MUMBAI (Metro Rail News): L&T Technology Services Ltd. has received a Letter of Acceptance (LoA) from Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) for the Automatic Fare Collection Systems (AFC) contract for Line 9 and 7A of Mumbai Metro Project.

MMRDA invited bids for this contract with a 1990 Days deadline. Technical bids for the contract were opened on 15 October 2024 revealing that 3 firms have submitted bids for this contract. Technical evaluation of the submitted bids took place on 7 March 2025. 

The financial bids for the technically qualified bids were opened on 7 March 2025. Financial evaluation of the bids took place on 19 September 2025. However, during the financial evaluation round 2 firms bids were rejected announcing L&T Technology Services as the lowest bidder for the contract. On the same day only, the firm received LoA from MMRDA.
