The completion of the open web girder installation is a crucial milestone for the Katni Grade Separator project. This project involves constructing a 15.85 km rail-on-rail viaduct, which is designed to separate train movements at different levels.

The newly launched 91.4-meter open web girder serves as a crucial link between the east and west sections of the up-line viaduct. This connection allows trains to travel across Katni City without passing through the congested yards of Katni Junction. By creating a direct, uninterrupted route for passenger and freight trains, the grade separator is expected to enhance rail traffic flow in the region. The successful launch of this girder brings the project closer to completion.
