NEW DELHI, (Metro Rail News): Ircon International Limited invites open tender for the client Northeast Frontier Railway for civil works at Biratnagar Station (Nepal) in connection with the construction of the New Broad Gauge Railway Line from Jogbani (India) to Biratnagar (Nepal).

  • Construction of Staff Quarters, Station Building, Services buildings, Platform, Roads & other works required in connection with completion of above.

About The Project

The Railway Line from Jogbani (India) to Biratnagar (Nepal) is an 18.6 km broad gauge railway line connecting Jogbani in Bihar to the industrial area of Biratnagar in Nepal at an estimated cost of INR 374 Crore.

The first phase consisting of 8 km railway line is already completed from Bathnaha to Nepal Customs point and the remaining portion of the project from Nepal Customs point to Biratnagar is expected to be completed by July 2021. Once completed, it will significantly reduce transportation costs between Nepal and Indian seaports at Kolkata and Haldia.
