2 Firms Bid for Independent Safety Assessment Work of Mumbai-Ahmedabad Bullet Train Project

MUMBAI (Metro Rail News): The National High Speed Rail Corporation Limited (NHSRCL) has announced the list of bidders that have submitted their proposals for undertaking consultancy services related to the Independent Safety Assessment (ISA) of the Mumbai–Ahmedabad High Speed Rail (MAHSR) Project. 

The selected consultant will be responsible for carrying out an independent and objective evaluation of all safety aspects across the entire project to ensure compliance with international standards and increase the overall reliability of India’s first high-speed rail corridor.

Mumbai-Ahmedabad Bullet Train Project 

The Mumbai–Ahmedabad High-Speed Rail (MAHSR) Project, also known as the Bullet Train Project, is India’s first high-speed rail initiative, which is currently under construction. The corridor stretches 508 km between Mumbai in Maharashtra and Ahmedabad in Gujarat. The alignment includes a total of 12 stations, of which 8 are located in Gujarat and 4 in Maharashtra. The first section of the Mumbai–Ahmedabad High-Speed Rail corridor is expected to become operational in 2027.
