Bhopal, Metro Rail News: The ground work of the Metro Rail project has started in the capital. Digging on the Gurudev secret crossroads in MP Nagar Sunday. Bhopal’s Dilip Buildcon Ltd is doing a civil work of 6.22 km Metro Route from AIIMS to Subhash Nagar underbridge. 247.06 crores will be spent on this.

The Central Government approved the capital’s Metro project on October 3 two months ago. After this clearance, the Metro Rail Company had issued a work order to Dilip Buildcon. The company had to start its work within three months.

The shift groundwork in Kolar Main Pipeline

The loan has received theoretical approval in September 2017 but no interest rate has been fixed, no conditions

The cost of Rs. 6962.92 crores for Bhopal Metro is 27.87 km line. For this, the European Investment Bank has to take loan of Rs. 3501.97 crores. In September 2017, EIB has given theoretical approval for loan, but till now neither the interest rate has been fixed nor the other conditions.

Expected to travel in 2022

 It is being said that in 2022 Metro train will start in Bhopal. The Metro Rail Company claims that from Karond, AIIMS and Bhadbhada will be run on both routes together with Ratnagiri. However, the work of civil works only starting from AIIMS to Subhash Nagar is on. No progress has been made on the balance. Due to the metro project, the decision on widening of many roads and some ROB projects is in the offing.

Metro Rail Corporation’s Director (Technical) Jitendra Dubey said that samples are being taken for testing only now. After this the root will be technical design. It will take about a month. In the end of January or in February, the work of the Root Civil Work will be seen on the field.
