KOCHI (Metro Rail News): Johnson Lifts Private Limited and Schindler India Private Limited have received a Letter of Acceptance (LoA) from Kochi Metro Rail Corporation (KMRL) for the elevator and escalator contract of Kochi Metro Phase 2.
The under construction Phase 2 of Kochi Metro Project consists of one metro corridor ( Pink Line). The Pink Line spans 11.2 km from JLN Stadium to Infopark II featuring11 stations.
Elevator Contract Details
KMRL invited bids for this contract. Technical bids were opened on 29 Sep 2025 revealing that 2 firms have submitted bids for the contract. Technical evaluation of the submitted bids occurred on 27 Nov 2025 and both the firms qualified in that round. Subsequently, financial bids for the contract were opened and on 30 Jan 2026, the financial evaluation of the bids occurred. After the financial evaluation round KMRL announced Johnson Lifts Private Limited as the lowest bidder for the contract and received LoA for the same.

KMRL invited bids for this contract with a 730 days deadline. Technical bids for the contract were opened on 29 Sep 2025 announcing that 3 firms have submitted bids for the contract. Technical evaluation of the bids took place on 27 Nov 2025 and all the 3 firms qualified.Later on, financial bids were opened for the contract. Financial evaluation of the bids occurred on 30 Jan 2026 and Schindler India Private Limited was declared as the lowest bidder for the contract and received LoA for the contract.
