DELHI (Metro Rail News): The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Mappls MapmyIndia, a leading digital mapping and geospatial technology company in India, to integrate DMRC’s API with the Mappls App.
According to the MoU, DMRC’s metro data will be incorporated into the Mappls platform to improve commuter convenience across Delhi-NCR. With this integration, more than 35 million Mappls app users will be able to access detailed information such as nearby metro stations, routes, fares, line interchanges, train frequencies, and travel times directly through the Mappls App.
On this occasion, Dr. Vikas Kumar, Managing Director, Delhi Metro Rail Corporation, said, “Delhi Metro is committed to enhancing commuter convenience through innovation and technology. The integration of DMRC’s metro data with the Mappls app will make travel across NCR smarter and seamless — enabling commuters to plan better, navigate easily, and save time. This collaboration marks another step toward building a smarter, safer, and more connected public transport ecosystem.

The initiative aims to make travel information more open, accessible, and useful for the public through the Mappls App’s Traffic and Public Engagement Platform. With this integration, the Mappls App will not only help users navigate the metro system but also allow them to find nearby government services, get suggested routes with estimated travel times, and report real-time issues such as traffic jams, accidents, parking problems, or waterlogging. This feature will help citizens share information directly from their smartphones, improving the overall travel and commuting experience in Delhi-NCR.
