NEW DELHI (Metro Rail News): The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) launched free high-speed WiFi services in train coaches on its Airport Express Line, the first such facility in any country in the South Asian region.
Airport Express line on the Delhi Metro network has six stations and 22.7-km long.
The ‘Free High-Speed Wi-Fi’ facility for passengers travelling on the Airport Express Line launched by DMRC’s Managing Director, Dr. Mangu Singh and He Also travels onboard a train from New Delhi to Dwarka Sec-21 and back.
Also, DMRC plans to extend the Free High-Speed Wi-Fi facility to another metro corridor on its network i.e line 1 to 6.

“Currently present underground metro train WiFi facility is available in Russia, South Korea and China. This is the first such facility in India and the South Asian region,” a senior official said.
How to use Free High-Speed Wi-Fi
Passengers will be able to access high-speed free Wi-Fi by simply logging onto the network with the name “METROWIFI_FREE”. Just enter your phone number if asked, and get your OTP to enjoy high-speed internet access throughout your journey.
