India’s first RRTS Corridor is going to advance soon as Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s will likely inaugurate the remaining 27 km stretch of Delhi-Meerut RRTS Corridor on 17 September. The Delhi-Meerut RRTS Corridor is a 82 km semi-high speed rail corridor which connects Delhi, Ghaziabad, and Meerut.
Currently the 55 km stretch of Delhi-Meerut RRTS Corridor from New Ashok Nagar to Meerut South featuring 11 stations is operational. In June 2025, the National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) successfully conducted the timetabled trial run of the Namo Bharat train across the entire Delhi-Meerut RRTS Corridor.
Recently, NCRTC also signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Uber to facilitate last-mile connectivity services along the Delhi- Meerut Namo Bharat corridor. To know more about this news: Click Here.
Alongside, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will also inaugurate the Delhi Metro Pink Line Extension from Majlis Park to Majpur which features 8 stations. The extension of the Pink Line is part of Delhi Metro’s Phase 4.
Currently, the Pink Line of Delhi Metro spans 59.24 km from Majlis Park to Shiv Vihar and is the longest line in the Delhi Metro network. Once the extension of Pink Line becomes operational the line will form a complete ring.
