Chennai (Metro Rail News): To accommodate the increasing passenger demand, Chennai Metro Rail Limited (CMRL) has expanded the parking facilities at Arignar Anna Alandur MetroStation. A newly renovated parking area, located on other side of the station behind MGR Statue has been upgraded with paver blocks and can now accommodate an additional 300 two-wheelers.

Currently, the existing parking facility at Arignar Anna Alandur Metro Station supports 1,300 two-wheelers and 180 Four wheelers. The introduction of this additional space will offer greater convenience to passengers, encouraging more commuters to use the metro services with ease and efficiency.

The upgraded parking area was inaugurated by Thiru. Rajesh Chaturvedi, Director (Systems and Operations) of CMRL, in the presence of Thiru. T. Archunan,Director (Projects) of CMRL, Thiru. Gopinath Mallya, (Chief Advisor Operation and Maintenance), Thiru. S. Satheesh Prabhu, AGM (Rolling Stock & Operations), along with senior officials and staff of CMRL.
