Chennai (Metro Rail News): Chennai Metro Rail Corporation (CMRL) has announced Fujitec India Pvt. Ltd. as the lowest bidder for the escalator contract of Chennai Metro Phase 2’s Corridor 5. This Line spans 44.6 km from Madhavaram Depot Metro to Sholinganallur through 48 stations.
Bidding Process
CMRL floated tender for this contract with a 1940-day deadline. Technical bids were opened on 6 November 2024, revealing that only one firm, Fujitec India, has submitted for the contract.
The technical evaluation of the submitted bid took place on 22 May 2025. Furthermore, financial bids were opened on 23 May 2025, revealing that Fujitec India is the lowest bidder for the contract.
