Lucknow (Metro Rail News): A total of Eleven firms have submitted bids to carry out geotechnical soil investigation for the Lucknow Metro Phase 1B project spanning 11.165 km .
In August 2024 UPMRC invited bids for its geotechnical investigation with an estimated budget of Rs. 77.21 lakh and a 90 day deadline. Furthermore,the technical bids were opened on 1 October to reveal the name of bidders.
Scope of work
The contractor appointed for Package LKGS-01 will conduct a Detailed Geo-Technical Survey for the East-West Corridor of the Lucknow Metro Rail Project Phase 1B, stretching from Charbagh to Vasantkunj, including the Depot at Hardoi Road.
This survey will involve subsurface investigations to evaluate soil properties and groundwater conditions, providing essential data for the design and construction phases of the project.

The bids have now been sent for technical evaluation. Furthermore when the technical evaluation will be completed then the financial bids of the technically qualified bidders will be opened to reveal who’s the lowest bidder and most likely contractor.

Lucknow Metro Phase 1B consists of one corridor (Line 2) spanning 11.098 Km providing seamless connectivity between Lucknow Railway Station (Charbagh) to Vasant Kunj through 12 stations.
