LUCKNOW (Metro Rail News): Following the Union government’s approval of Lucknow Metro Phase 1B, the Uttar Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation has floated a tender to appoint the Detailed Design Consultant for the project.
The contractor will provide consultancy services for Civil, Architectural, E&M and Traction Works for the Lucknow Metro Phase -1B project, which spans 11.165km from Lucknow Railway Station (Charbagh) – Vasant Kunj via 5 elevated and 7 underground stations.

UPMRC’s Brief Scope of Work: Engagement of Detailed Design Consultant (DDC) for Civil, Architectural, E&M and Traction Works for the design of 4.29 Km(including ramp) elevated section with 05 elevated Stations (Thakurganj, Balaganj, Sarfarazganj, Musabagh and Vasantkunj)) , & 6.88 Km (including ramp) underground section with 07 underground Stations (Charbagh, Gautam Buddha Marg, Aminabad, Pandeyganj, City Rly. Stn, Medical Chauraha and Chowk) One Car Maintenance Depot and stabling lines at Vasantkunj, Lucknow.
On 12 August, the Union Cabinet granted approval for Phase-IB of the Lucknow Metro project. This phase is designed to cover a corridor extending 11.165 kilometres, with an estimated financial outlay of Rs 5,801 crore. Upon the commencement of Phase-1B, Lucknow city will have 34 Km of active Metro Rail Network.
