
MAHARASHTRA (Metro Rail News): Maharashtra Metro Rail Corporation Limited (Maha Metro) has awarded the General Consultant contract for the Thane Integral Ring Metro Project to an AECOM-led consortium. The consortium includes AECOM India Private Limited and Nippon Koei India Private Limited. The estimated cost of the contract is Rs 179.86 cr (excluding GST).

Thane Metro Project
The Thane Integral Ring Metro is a 29 km urban transit project planned to improve public transport and reduce traffic issues in Thane. The estimated cost of this metro corridor is around Rs 12,200 crore and it will have 22 stations, including 20 elevated stations and 2 underground stations. Once completed, it will make travel within the city faster, easier, and more convenient. The project is expected to be fully operational by 2029.
