LUCKNOW (Metro Rail News): The Uttar Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation (UPMRC) has invited bids for building a significant underground section of the Lucknow Metro Phase-1B project. This work includes a 6.52 km underground corridor, 7 underground stations, and related infrastructure. The estimated cost of the project is Rs 1,887 crore.

Scope of work
The chosen contractor will design and construct the underground section from Charbagh Metro Station (UG) to ramp after Chowk Metro Station (Approx. 6.52 km including station lengths), including construction of ramp to connect underground section to viaduct section, and construction of 07 (Seven) underground Metro Stations, namely Charbagh, Gautam Buddha Nagar, Aminabad, Pandeyganj, Lucknow City, Medical Chauraha and Chowk Chauraha, including civil works, associated and ancillary structures, PEB structures, architectural works, water supply, sanitary installation, drainage, external development, property development, fire fighting arrangements for Phase-1B of Lucknow Metro Rail Project at Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, India, under Uttar Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation.
About Lucknow Metro Phase 1B
Lucknow Metro’s Phase-1B corridor aims to improve connectivity across the city and provide better public transport access to busy residential and commercial areas. The proposed East-West corridor will run from Charbagh to Vasant Kunj and it will cover about 11.165 km. The route will include 7 underground stations and 5 elevated stations. Earlier this month, UPMRC awarded the contract for the elevated section between Thakurganj and Vasant Kunj, which includes five elevated stations.
