NAGPUR (Metro Rail News): NMRCL floats tender for the design & construction of a 5.3 Km long elevated viaduct on the Nagpur Metro Phase: II. The specifics of the tender are mentioned below:

- Name of work: Design and Construction of Elevated Metro Viaduct of Length 5.333 km between Ch: (-) 289.668 m to Ch: (-) 5622.577 m in Reach-4A of NMRP Phase-2
- Bid Security (EMD): INR 1.30 Crores
- Estimated Cost: INR 260 Crores (INR Two Hundred and Sixty Crores Only)
- Completion Period: 30 (Thirty Months) from the date specified in the LOA.
- Bid-submission start date: 14th September 2023.
- Bid-submission End date: 1st November 2023.
- Pre-Bid Meeting: 3rd October, 2023.
- Opening of Tender: 1st November 2023 at 16:30 Hours
The 43.8 km Phase-II shall extend to Kanhan in the North, Butibori MIDC in the South, Transport Nagar (Kapsi) in the East and Hingna in the West. It comprises 1.2 km at-grade with two stations and 42.6 km elevated with 30 stations. It will boost the connectivity from the satellite cities like the Transport Hub at Kapsi, the Industrial areas of Hingna and Butibori and the Mining areas at Kanhan.
It is scheduled to be completed by 2026 at an estimated cost of INR 6,708 Crore, which will be funded by the government of India & the government of Maharashtra on a 50:50 ratio.
