DEHRADUN, (Metro Rail News): PNC Infratech Ltd on Monday emerged as the only bidder for the development of Personalised Rapid Transit (PRT) System in Haridwar as per Uttarakhand Metro Rail Corporation (UKMRC).
This PRT system, called as ‘Haridwar Darshan’, is to be built on PPP mode and got approval from the Uttarakhand Government in June 2020. UKMRC invited Expression of Interest cum Request for Qualification to shortlist private entities to bid as ‘concessionaire’ for development of this project in November 2020.

Scope of Work: Development of Personalised Rapid Transit (PRT) System in Haridwar city of Uttarakhand called “Haridwar Darshan” under Design Built Finance Operate and Transfer (DBFOT basis) – (PPP MODEL)
Proposed PRT Corridors –
- Sitapur – Bharat Mata Temple 14.0 km
- City Hospital – Daksha Temple 3.0 km
- Ganeshpuram – DAV School 2.0 km
- Valmiki Chowk – Laltaro Bridge 0.65 km
- Total 19.65 km
The PRT corridors are mainly on the Major roads of the city and are planned to be elevated within the Right of way (ROW) on the central verge of the roads.
As now only single EOI received, it will be important to know whether UKMRC will go ahead with PNC Infratech, subject to technical & financial evaluation or if not find satisfactory, it will invite re-tender for the same.
Hope this will not intrrupt people belongs to Local area. Hope there will no need to take private land as width of road is 40feets and PRT required 30feets . Positive about this project . Metro is now out of main small old city. Enjoy divine view from metro .
