YFC – BBG JV Begins Foundation Work for Nagpur Metro Phase 2’s Package C-09

Nagpur (Metro Rail News): The Nagpur Metro project progressed as YFC Projects – BBG Infrastructure JV has started the 1st foundation work at the MHADA Colony station of Orange Line’s Reach 1A under civil Package C-09 of Nagpur Metro Phase 2.

Maha-Metro Managing Director, Director Project and Executive Director were present at the site and performed the Bhoomi Poojan and flagged off for the start of foundation work.

About Package C-09 of Nagpur Metro Phase 2

YFC Projects – BBG Infrastructure JV bagged the civil package C-09 from MMRCL in January 2025, with a bid of ₹219.3 crore.

The contract’s scope of work includes the construction of 8 elevated stations on the Orange Line’s Reach-1A.

  • Dongargaon 
  • Mohgaon
  •  Meghdoot CIDCO
  • Butibori Police Station 
  • MHADA Colony
  • MIDC KEC
  •  MIDC ESR

MMRCL Brief Scope: Construction of Eight Elevated Metro Stations, viz Ashokvan Dongargaon Mohgaon Meghdoot CIDCO Butibori Police Station MHADA Colony MIDC KEC and MIDC ESR in Reach1A of NMRP Phase 2. 

Note: The civil contract Package C-09 will be funded through a $200 million loan sanctioned by the Asian Development Bank (ADB) in July 2024

Recently, Maharashtra Metro Rail Corporation Limited (MMRCL) has declared Johnson Lifts Pvt Ltd as the lowest Bidder for the Heavy Duty Machine Room Less Elevators and Escalators contract for the Nagpur Metro Phase 2 Project.
