Mumbai ( Metro Rail News): Paras Railtech, Apurvakriti Infrastructure (AIPL), and Rahee Infratech have submitted their bids for the second ballastless track-work contract for the Mumbai Metro Line 2B (Yellow Line). This line extends 23.6 kilometres from Andheri West to Mandale.
In March 2025, the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) floated tender for this contract with a value of Rs. 121.83 crore and an unknown deadline. Furthermore, Technical bids were opened on 22 April 2025 to reveal 3 bidders.
About Package CA-273
The scope of work under Package CA-273 involves the installation of standard gauge ballastless track between Andheri West Station and ITO Station in Bandra-Kurla Complex.

The bids submitted by 3 firms have now been sent for technical bid evaluation. Once the technical evaluation is completed, the financial bids of the technically qualified bidders will be opened to announce the lowest Bidder for the contract.
Latest Update on Mumbai Metro Line 2B
Recently, the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) has initiated trial runs on the Mandale-Mankhurd stretch of Mumbai Metro Line 2 B. The trials are underway on a 5.3 km stretch from Diamond Garden to Mandale, which features 5 stations.
