South CentraL Railway has announced Rail Vikas Nigam Ltd (RVNL) as the lowest bidder for a major overhead electrification (OHE) upgrade project in Ongole (OGL) (Incl) – Gudur (GDR) (Incl) section of Vijayawada Division under South Central Railway
Contract Value: ₹242.50 Crore
Contract Duration: 24 months
Contract Scope of Work: The contracts scope of work includes the Design, Supply, Erection, Testing and Commissioning for OHE upgradation of existing 1X25kV system to 2X25kV at Feeding System with Feeder and Earthing works in Ongole (OGL) (Incl) – Gudur (GDR) (Incl) section of Vijayawada Division under South Central Railway.
Earlier, on 16 January South CentraL Railway also announced Rail Vikas Nigam Ltd (RVNL) as the lowest bidder for another contract worth ₹87.56 Crore. The contract included the supplying, installing, and commissioning of an IP-based Video Surveillance System (VSS) in LHB coaches.
