NEW DELHI (Metro Rail News): On Tuesday IRCTC (The Indian Railway Catering & Tourism Corporation) declared that the operation 3 of private trains suspended till 30th of April due to the pandemic COVID-19 in the country.
These 3 private trains are Tejas Express Train no 82501/82502 that operates among Lucknow-New Delhi, the second one is IRCTC Tejas Express Train no 82901/82902 among Mumbai-Ahmedabad and the third one is IRCTC Kashi Mahakal Express train which operates on the Varanasi-Indore route remain to cancel till 30th of April.
IRCTC would give a total refund for the ticket fare automatically without any cancellation charges to all the passengers who have booked tickets for the journey up to 30th of April. There is no need to cancel tickets from the online portal as this is required in other cases. Previously delayed trains till 14th April owing to the 21-day nationwide lockdown to control the coronavirus spread pandemic. It had also determined to stop reservation of ticket by counters till April 14. Travellers who wanted to book for travel after 14th of April would have to book their tickets via the online IRCTC portal according to the previous reports.
