APMRCL Issues Bids for ₹4150 Cr Civil Contract of Vijayawada Metro Project

VIJAYWADA (Metro Rail News): Following the Rs 6250 crore civil contract of Vizag Metro Project, Andhra Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation (APMRCL) invited bids for the first civil contract of the Vijayawada Metro Rail Project, which is worth Rs. 4150 Crores. The contract includes the design and construction of a 38.40 km viaduct, 1 Underground metro station and 32 Elevated Metro stations for Phase 1 of the Project.

Contract’s Scope of Work 

The awarded contractor will be responsible for the Engineering, Design and Construction of Viaduct Length 38.40 kms (including 4.33 Kms of Double Decker 4 Lane Flyover cum Metro Viaduct) 01Nos. Underground metro station and 32 Nos Elevated Metro stations, etc., all as specified on EPC basis for Phase-1 of Vijayawada Metro Rail, at Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh, India.

The Vijayawada Metro Rail Phase 1 project covers a total length of 38.4km via 2 corridors. Below are the route details:

Recently, TYPSA Consultancy entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the state government. This agreement designates TYPSA Consultancy as the general consultant for the Vijayawada metro project. The firm will be responsible for overseeing the planning, design, and construction phases of the project.
