LUCKNOW (Metro Rail News): Uttar Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation Limited (UPMRCL) has announced Ayesa Ingenieria y Arquitectura, S.A.U as the lowest bidder for the Detailed Design Consultant for Lucknow Metro Phase 1B project.
UPMRCL invited bids for this contract with a 1825 days deadline. Technical bids were opened on 28 Oct 2025 announcing that 2 firms have submitted bids for the contract. Technical evaluation of the submitted bids occurred on 16 Jan 2026 and both the firms qualified in that round.
After the technical evaluation round, financial bids were opened on 19 Jan 2026 and financial evaluation of the bids took place on 29 Jan 2026. Following the financial evaluation round UPMRCL announced Ayesa Ingenieria y Arquitectura, S.A.U as the lowest bidder for the contract.

Contract’s Scope of Work: Engagement of Detailed Design Consultant (DDC) for Civil, Architectural, E&M and Traction Works for the design of 4.29 Km(including ramp) elevated section with 05 elevated Stations (Thakurganj, Balaganj, Sarfarazganj, Musabagh and Vasantkunj)) , & 6.88 Km (including ramp) underground section with 07 underground Stations (Charbagh, Gautam Buddha Marg, Aminabad, Pandeyganj, City Rly. Stn, Medical Chauraha and Chowk) One Car Maintenance Depot and stabling lines at Vasantkunj, Lucknow.
The Phase 1B of Lucknow Metro Project consists of one metro corridor which spans 11.165km from Lucknow Railway Station (Charbagh) to Vasant Kunj via 5 elevated and 7 underground stations. The Phase 1B of Lucknow Metro Project received Union Cabinet’s approval on 12 August at an estimated cost of Rs 5,801 crore.
