The Mumbai–Ahmedabad Bullet Train project has achieved another milestone with the successful completion of viaduct launching over the Girdhar Nagar flyover, a Railway Over Bridge (ROB) situated on the Delhi–Ahmedabad main line of Western Railway in Ahmedabad district.

This viaduct alignment runs parallel to the existing railway track, and the span over the flyover was launched on 15th September 2025.The construction involved placement of a 45-metre-long span using the advanced Span-by-Span (SBS) method.

Mumbai Ahmedabad Bullet Train corridor is passing over 31 crossings in Ahmedabad district which includes IR crossing (8 Nos.), road flyover, road, road underpass, canal (16 Nos.), one (01) river bridge crossing at Sabarmati River and six (06) steel bridges. Out of this, 15 crossings have been completed.
Recently, the Mumbai-Ahmedabad high-speed rail (MAHSR) corridor progressed with the completion of a 4.88 km undersea tunnel section connecting Ghansoli and Shilphata in Maharashtra. This is part of a planned 21 km tunnel between the Bandra-Kurla Complex (BKC) in Mumbai and Shilphata. To know more about this news: Click Here.
